Meetup Description: Dear All,

If you are interested in meeting at the park after school then back channel me (post question, email question et cetera). If it is as hot as it was today then I would prefer to go grab a snack somewhere with the kids. Since this is mid-week (homework, et cetera) and short notice it will be a brief and informal meet-up with the objective of coming up with some ideas for our group.

PLEASE remember to back channel if you plan to attend as I don't plan to go unless I hear from others.

IMPORTANT: Please post some place in the local area (Windermere & Dr. Phillips) that you would be interested in organizing (or just getting the info for) for our group. Be thinking along the lines of somewhere that the kids will be entertained so the parent's can get to know one another and somewhere that is cost-friendly.

Lastly, I am working on something for a tree farm type of experience for the kids for the holidays. Please let the group know if anything along those lines that you like the idea of.

Shadow Bay Park- Walk and Talk!
This is a new recreational walking program targeting all ages! Participants will be able to walk around the park on a variety of trails at their own pace and level. Visit the park office to register and receive instructions on the sign-in process. When coming to the park to walk, participants will go to the tennis center, sign the designated attendance book, obtain one of the provided pedometers and begin their walk within the park. Walkers will track and record the number of steps they walk on their personal sign in sheet and monthly achievement goals will be posted in the attendance book. Each participant will be eligible for prizes once they meet the posted goals. We will host bi-monthy awards ceremonies to distribute prizes and to encourage participation! Call for more information!
