We are a group of LGBT parents with infant to school-aged children. We meet monthly throughout the Greater Nashville area for kid-centered activities.  Currently, more than 60 families are involved. Families vary from same gender male couples to same gender female couples to single parents. Many ethnicities and nationalities are represented. Families of children with exceptionalities are active. Book club for little girls ages 5-9. The kids should run their own group. Moms will be there to facilitate. I want to start a book club for little girls.  There are several book series out there such as NEVER GIRLS from disney AND Katie Kazoo Switcheroo. North Alabama SAHD is intended to be a support group geared towards stay-at-home dads. There seems to be a great deal of support for stay-at-home moms, but very little support for stay at home dads. I have found that mom groups are generally not accepting of stay at home dads, making the isolation for dads staying at home with their children much more difficult.
